Aishu's performance in Raincoat was absolutely impeccable and she has already received tons of appreciation for that. So it doesn't really matter what a bunch of 3 or 4 wise guys think or rather choose to think. Although I must admit a national award would have been yet another feather in her cap.

Looking forward for Aishu's future projects especially Provoked. I've seen few scenes and I must say, wait n watch Aishu's gonna rock the world:-)

yeahhh i agree steven, if i were you courier i wouldnt call her either. i mean her life is hectic enough as it, everywhere she goes she is mobbed by fans. being at home with her family is her personal quiet time without her fans.

but having her number is wicked tho..i could never bring myself around to calling her number just because its Ash. i would feel so bad calling her because who knows what is going on at the time, i wouldnt want to disturb her at all...you know. but its all goooddd :P

but at the same time..i am happy for you..cause i would LOVE that feeling of having AISHWARYA'S number..it would totally make my YEAR..so i cant tell you NOT to call..i would call just because its the "fan" thing in me to do, but however i would just call once, give my well wishes then throw that number out..just so i am not bothering that family.

haha its ok..i dont think i would want her number..as much as i really do want it..deep inside i have respect for her, and her privacy, and i dont think its right for a stranger to have someone else's number, especially someone like ash..much of her life is out there in the public, so its rude itself to have her home number, HER FAMILY!
courier if i were you, i wouldnt call
think how much madness her parents have to go through for all those people that call that house
its invasion of privacy, and they deserve better then that..of course you dont have to listen to me, but just think how they would feel..idk??

That's an interesting story how I got HER number. I found out on my own without anyone's help. It was 90% advanced technical skills+10% "guidance" from some angel. The right word is serendipity. Sorry but don't ask me for it because the number somehow will get shared and her privacy will be disturbed.

But courier. The Indian media stories from Rediff, Sify, India FM etc. were wrong. Aishwarya didn't win for Raincoat for her performance - but her film Raincoat did win. So congratulations are still in order for her and the team.

I called just now to congratulate her. LOL Again she is not available! I get a standard answer. Unfortunately I don't have the mobile number
To "Ash" are you working 24x7? That is impossible.

Aishwarya's film Raincoat, according to one newspaper has won the National Award for Best Hindi Film. Congratulations to Aishwarya and the entire team of Raincoat IF This is true.
Of course we should wait for further confirmation. Personally, I think she more than deserved the Best Actress, but everything happens for the best.

My apologies. I made a mistake. Sadly Aishwarya did not win the award this year as stated by the Indian media. Silly me for going along with what they said. hehe LOL
Never mind. Perhaps next year. Keep smiling Ash.
Take Care

Sorry for carrying on LOL but in other National award associated news Tamil movie Autograph won Best Popular Film alongside Veer Zaara!

Wasn't it Variety's Derek Elley that said Aishwarya "revealed herself as a considerable actress" in this film. Does she even know she's won yet? I want to hear her reaction.

Aishwarya previously won the Zee Cine Critics Award for this performance.

No basher can deny the fact this win was thoroughly deserved.

Cue the Indian media's blood to boil and ask their brain washed readers to state whether you deserve it or not. But we all knew from the moment we watched your performance there was a National Award beckoning. Thoroughly deserved.

:-)

Aishwarya Rai has won the National film award for her outstanding performance in Raincoat. She won Best Actress in the Rituparno Ghosh film. This award is possibly the only one that can really be compared to the oscars, an award that merits the HIGHEST in the Indian film arts, awarded by a jury and the government every year, and was the only one to start as an award show in India that awards all language film industries in the country more than 50 years ago. Ms. Rai can smile once more. They said you couldn't do it. They said you'd never make it.
:-)

Congratulations Aishwarya. Keep up the good
