CONGRATS AISHU! She really deserved that award and 2 me, no one put as much effort as she did (no make up, weight gain etc.) I think(and i'm sure i'm not alone) the Indian really hates aishu. If you look @ d International reviews of B&P, all the critics praised aishu but, she got bad reviews only in India. We all know that Aishu's performance in Raincoat was excellent but some critics in India didn't seem 2 think so.
Oh yeah, her performance waz d best of the night. she looked soooo beautiful (as always)

This isn't the first time she's won a Zee Cine Award - she won Best Actress Zee Cine awards for both her roles in Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam and Devdas. This is her first Zee Cine Best Actress (Critics) award, for her role in Raincoat. Very well deserved!
The Zee Cine Awards are considered an award ceremony that recognises the best in Bollywood, and are attended by all the big names in Bollywood, unless they're annoyed they get back seats one year.
They are BY FAR, the biggest annual bollywood event, and occur annually, in different countries. Last year, it occured in Dubai, this year in London, and next year, possibly in the states. 10s of Thousands buy tickets, and the awards are voted for by the public, unless they are jury awards (the critics awards) like the one Ash won - where critics vote.
They are venerated as being the most democratic award show!
Keep pushing higher Ash we're all rooting for you!!!
CONGRATULATIONS!!

CONGRATS AISHU:-)

I had the honour and pleasure of recording Aishu's stage performance and award acceptance. When the Best Actress critics award was about to be announced, I had an intuition that Aishu would get it and she got it:-) I still can't fathom why filmfare and other award ceremonies did not consider her. May be it has become a fashion these days to criticize Aishu for nothing - bunch of pseudo intellectuals LOL
